JOLIET, Ill. - University of St. Francis' bid for the eighth and final spot in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer post-season championship tournament fell just short and the Saints' season came to an end with a 1-0 loss to Cardinal Stritch Tuesday afternoon at the Galowich YMCA field.

The visiting Wolves (4-14, 3-7) scored the game's only goal in the 11th minute of the game and made it stand up against a late St. Francis (2-14-1, 2-7-1) push.

The Saints finished the game with 19 total shots and 7 shots on goal, with 12 of the shots and 4 of the shots on goal coming in the second half. Sophomore forward Erin Voss (Nazareth Academy/Elmhurst, IL) and freshman midfielder Amber Zukowski (Andrew H.S./Tinley Park, IL) led USF with 3 shots on goal apiece and freshman midfielder Danice Carbajal (Merrillville H.S./Merrillville, IN) accounted for the other one.

The loss left the Saints in ninth place in the 11-team CCAC. USF lost its last six games after starting the conference season with a 2-1-1 record, which included wins over Holy Cross (IN) and Calumet (IN) and a tie at heavily-favored Saint Xavier.
