The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament begins this weekend in a new format with the USF Recreation Center serving as one of the host sites.As in the past, the top eight teams in the final regular-season standings have qualified for the tourney.  But, instead of a single-elimination bracketed format, the eight teams have been split into two pools of four.  Each pool will feature a round-robin schedule at one of the two sites.  The winner of each pool will then advance to the CCAC Tournament Championship match on Friday, Nov. 13 at the site of the higher remaining seed.

Regular-season champion Olivet Nazarene (30-8, 10-0) will be the No. 1 seed and will play host to No. 4 seed Saint Xavier (18-20, 6-4), No. 5 seed Trinity Christian (13-18, 6-4) and No. 8 seed Judson (7-24, 4-6).

Second-place St. Francis (24-15, 8-2) is the No. 2 seed and will entertain No. 3 seed Illinois Tech (17-17, 7-3), No. 6 seed Trinity International (18-16, 5-5) and No. 7 seed Cardinal Stritch (10-19, 4-6).
