Senior Princess Clemente (Tinley Park, Ill./ Andrew) turned in the Saints' top performance in the singles bracket as she won two of three matches to advance to the quarterfinals. Sophomore Danielle Hoffman (Tinley Park, Ill./ Andrew) split two matches to earn a spot in the round-of-16.
In the "B" singles draw, sophomore Ashley Golda (Manhattan, Ill./ Lincoln-Way Central) reached the finals by winning four of her five matches.
In doubles action, Clemente and Anne-Christine Tompkins (New Lenox, Ill./ Lincoln-Way Central) were the lone USF tandem to advance beyond the opening round. After winning their first contest 8-1, they dropped an 8-4 decision in the round-of-16.
USF hosts Purdue University Calumet (9 a.m.) and St. Ambrose University (3 p.m.) in dual meet action Saturday at Challenge Fitness in Lockport.
