ROMEOVILLE --- University of St. Francis' 4x400-meter relay team and senior Jessica Horn (Montague H.S./Montague, MI) highlighted USF's opening indoor track meet of 2010 as both placed second at the Lewis University Dick Pond Invitational on Saturday.

Horn was actually a part of both feats running the last leg in the relay, where the Saints earned a time of 4:22.92. She also recorded a time of 9.25 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles.

Horn was joined by sister Jennifer Horn (Montague H.S./Montague, MI), Brittany McAllister (Plainfield South H.S./Crest Hill, IL) and Courtney Madden (Plainfield Central H.S./Plainfield, IL) in the relay.

Madden combined that with a 2:26.02 in the 800-meter run to place fourth, one notch higher than McAllister, who posted a 2:27.16.

USF also received fifth-place finishes from senior Meghan Bannatz (Novi H.S./Novi, MI) in the mile (5:51.53) and freshman Chelsea Rimington (Lena-Winslow H.S./Lena, IL) in the shot put (10.59 meters).

The Saints head to Allendale, Mich. next Friday where they will compete in the Grand Valley State University Bob Eubanks Open.
