JOLIET, Ill. - Senior guards Anna Sears (Providence Catholic H.S./Mokena, IL) and Jacqie Storm (Sandburg H.S./Orland Park, IL) scored 27 and 22 points, respectively, to lead the streaking University of St. Francis women's basketball team to its 10th straight win with an 87-75 decision over league rival Robert Morris Tuesday night at the Recreation Center.

The league-leading Saints (15-10) pushed their Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference record to a perfect 6-0 and remain one full game ahead of NAIA No. 2-ranked Saint Xavier (5-1) in the loop standings. USF travels to Chicago for a rematch with SXU on Saturday afternoon. The Saints handed the Cougars their only loss of the season to date with a 77-72 decision in Joliet on Jan. 12.

Sears scored her career-high 27 points with outstanding marksmanship from both the floor and the free throw line. She sank 7-of-9 field goals and made 13-of-15 free throws including 7-of-8 in the final 2:25 of the game. She also added a career-best 7 assists and 5 rebounds to her statistical line.

Storm knocked home 22 points, including 4 treys, and added 6 boards. Senior forward Kaci Baird (Bartlett H.S./Bartlett, IL) notched 14 points and narrowly missed a double-double with 9 rebounds. Baird also picked up 6 steals. Senior point guard Katie Carls (St. Bede Academy/Spring Valley, IL) reached double figures with 10 points and pitched in a half-dozen assists.

USF trailed just twice in the game at 2-0 and again at 12-11. The Saints used a 16-4 run midway through the opening half to take a 16-14 edge and push it to 32-18 with 7:24 left. But Robert Morris (14-10, 1-4) countered with a 10-2 half-ending run to slice the 14-point margin down to just 6 points at 38-32 at the break.

The Saints quickly established control in the second half, extending the lead back to 10 points at 46-36 and then keeping the margin in double digits for most of the game's final 15 minutes. The Eagles got as close as 8 points in the final minute but never threatened until the clock was clearly in favor of the Saints.

USF shot 43.5 percent (27-of-62) from the field but had its best game of the season at the charity stripe, making free throws at an 86.7 percent clip (26-of-30). The Saints outrebounded the Eagles, 45-38.

USF has not lost since dropping a 72-61 verdict to St. Ambrose (IA) in the semifinal round of the Saint Xavier Christmas Tournament on Dec. 28. The Saints have now won 12 of their last 13 contests since a home loss to NAIA Division II No. 9 College of the Ozarks back on Dec. 20.
