
NAPERVILLE, Ill. --- University of St. Francis qualified its women's track distance medley relay team for the 2010 NAIA Indoor National Championships by registering a time of 12:57.99 at the North Central College Cardinal Classic on Saturday.
Making up the nationals-bound team was junior Brittany McAllister (Plainfield South H.S./Crest Hill, IL), junior Aprille Froelich (Amboy H.S./Amboy, IL), freshman Torin Mallonee (Xavier H.S./Cedar Rapids, IA) and sophomore Courtney Madden (Plainfield Central H.S./Plainfield, IL).
Despite a limited lineup, the Saints managed to post nine points in the meet with freshman Chelsea Rimington (Lena-Winslow H.S./Lena, IL) providing the other points with her sixth-place finish in the shot put. Her top throw went a distance of 34 feet, 11.75 inches.
Senior Meghan Bannatz (Novi H.S./Novi, MI) was the only other USF participant in the meet. She ran a 5:36.35 mile to place ninth overall.
