ORLANDO, Fla. --- University of St. Francis continued where it left off in the fall winning for the fourth time in five matches in opening its spring season with an 8-1 victory over King's College (PA) Sunday morning.

Sophomores Agnieszka Belza (Nazareth Academy/Chicago, IL) and Danielle Emola (Lincoln-Way East H.S./Frankfort, IL) opened doubles play with a hard-fought 9-8 (7-5) win to get the ball rolling for the Saints. The teams of Carla Braun (Lincoln-Way Central H.S./New Lenox, IL)/Corinne Lutz (Minooka H.S./Minooka, IL) and Barb Koziol (Reavis H.S./Burbank, IL)/Emily Zajda (Joliet Catholic Academy/Plainfield, IL) followed with identical 8-3 victories.

USF's only setback on the day came at No. 1 singles before the Saints took things over again with Emola's 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2, Braun's 4-6, 6-0, 6-2 victory at No. 4, Zajda's 6-4, 6-2 decision at No. 5 and Koziol's 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6. Belza also secured a victory at No. 4 after Lauren Breen retired after winning the first set.

USF takes its 10-4 record up against NCAA II Saginaw Valley State University (MI) on Monday at 6:30 p.m.
