JOLIET, Ill. – A perfect 6-0 record during the busy week of Apr. 14-20 has earned University of St. Francis sophomore Danielle Hoffman (Tinley Park, Ill./ Andrew) Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week accolades.
Hoffman helped the Saints to three conference wins over Robert Morris University (Apr. 16), Calumet College of St. Joseph (Apr. 17) and Purdue University Calumet (Apr. 19) with three of her victories coming at No. 2 singles and another three at No. 2 doubles with two different partners. She won all three of her singles matches in straight sets and in doubles, went 2-0 with senior Leah Fuessel (Mokena, Ill./ Lincoln-Way East) before winning another match with sophomore Ewelina Szwed (Romeoville, Ill/ Romeoville).
Closing out the regular season with three straight league wins to improve to 12-9, the Saints earned a No. 3 seed in this week's seven-team CCAC Tournament. Hoffman, who earned her first career CCAC weekly award, improved to 16-9 in singles play and 16-12 in doubles action on the season with her six wins last week.
