PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - University of St. Francis captured four first-places and narrowly missed a team title in its outdoor season-opening effort at the Trinity Christian College Troll Relays.

The Saints finished with 145 team points, falling just two points shy of first-place Harper College. USF was well ahead of host Trinity Christian who placed third with just 68 points.

Junior Wayland Froelich (Amboy H.S./Amboy, IL) was USF's only individual winner as he captured first place in the triple jump with a leap of 12.91 meters (424.25").

The Saints got winning efforts from three different relay teams to complete their list of first-place finishers. The winning Saint relay teams were in the 4x800-meter race, the 4x200-meter event and the 4x400-meter run.

The Saints next travel to the University of Chicago on April 9 and 10 to compete in the Chicagoland Championships.
