University of St. Francis sophomore closer Corey Schultz (Kankakee H.S./Kankakee, IL) earned a pair of wins in relief at Illinois Tech on Sunday and was named the CCAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 18 on Monday.
Schultz enjoyed a perfect week out of the bullpen, allowing no runs in seven innings of relief. He notched the wins in both ends of Sunday's doubleheader sweep at Illinois Tech. He allowed just a pair of hits in six innings of work on Sunday, two innings in the opener and four in the nightcap.
Earlier in the week against Trinity Christian he came in for the final inning allowing no hits and no runs in a 16-5 USF win. He pushed his season record to a perfect 6-0 (3 saves) and has allowed just two earned runs in 24.2 innings for a 0.73 ERA.
