JOLIET, Ill. --- An ominous forecast for Sunday has forced the University of St. Francis/Devenport University (MI) baseball doubleheader slated for 1 p.m. to be cancelled. There will be no makeup date.

The Saints (27-12, 18-5) return to action on Tuesday facing neighboring rival Lewis University in a 4 p.m. doubleheader at Silver Cross Field.

USF, a winner of nine games in a row and 14 out of 15, returns to Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday at Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN). Game time is 3 p.m.

The Saints have won 13 straight league games leaving them with a two-game lead in the conference standings ahead of both Saint Xavier University and Judson University. Head coach Gordie Gillespie's club moved ahead of Judson this past week with a three-game sweep of the Eagles on Thursday and Friday.
