WAUKEGAN, Ill. - Junior Vicky McGowan (Lincoln-Way East H.S./Mokena, IL) shot an 8-over par 81 in windy conditions on Friday to place in a tie for third individually and lead University of St. Francis to a second-place finish at the six-team Robert Morris University Women's Golf Invitational at Bonnie Brook Golf Course.

The Saints carded a team total of 347 which was four strokes behind champion Wheaton College who finished with a 343. North Central College was third at 349, followed by Carthage College (Wis.)(356), Lewis University (358) and Benedictine University (415).

McGowan fired nines of 42 and 39 and finished two shots behind tournament medalists Alyssa Gaudio of North Central and Nicole Tucker of Lewis who each finished with 79's. Freshman Ashleigh Offerman (Joliet Catholic Academy/Elwood, IL) recorded an 87 for USF and tied for ninth. Freshman Lindsey Wilson (Rogers H.S./Rogers, AR) turned in a round of 89 and freshman Kali Hale (Joliet Township H.S./Joliet, IL) completed the Saints' scoring with a 90.

Freshman Lauren Bone (Almont H.S./Almont, MI) shot a 93 and sophomore Rachael Anderson (Plainfield South H.S./Plainfield, IL) finished with a 94.

The Saints travel to Alton, Ill., on May 10 and 11 for the NAIA National Tournament Qualifying Meet at Spencer T. Olen Golf Course.
