DECATUR, Ill. --- University of St. Francis dropped 18 strokes from its first-round total to move up one spot and finish in 13th place out of 14 teams at the Millikin University Big Blue Fall Classic on Saturday at Red Tail Run Golf Club.

After shooting a 348 on Friday, the Saints rebounded with a 330 on Saturday to total 678 over the two-day tournament.

Junior Michael Mysker (Andrew H.S./Tinley Park, IL) again led the way for the Saints recording the team's best individual round with his seven-over-par 79 on the 7,351-yard course Saturday. Mysker scored a 163 over the two days to finish in a tie for 34th-place overall.

One stroke separated USF's other three scorers with junior Kevin Wiatr (Lemont H.S./Lemont, IL) edging out both freshmen Scott Ratzburg (Tremper H.S./Pleasant Prairie, WI) and Casey Temper (Lockport H.S./Crest Hill, IL) for second-place team honors. Wiatr shot an 86 on Day 2 to finish at 171, while Ratzburg (89-83) and Temper (90-82) settled for 172s.

Freshman Tyler Ricketts (Reed-Custer H.S./Braidwood, IL), USF's fifth golfer, showed the most improvement from the first day to the second taking nine strokes off his opening round 98 with his 89 on Saturday for a 187 total.

Host Millikin captured the team title of the Classic edging out Illinois Wesleyan University by one stroke, 606-607. Wheaton College was third at 618.

Illinois Wesleyan's Ryan Dorner claimed individual medalist honors with his 146 (70-76).

The Saints are off until Oct. 14-15 when they compete in the NAIA National Preview Tournament at Deer Run Golf Course in Silvis, Ill.
