LOCKPORT, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's tennis team remained unbeaten in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play after taking down Purdue University Northwest 7-2 Saturday afternoon at the Challenge Fitness Tennis Courts. The Saints improved to 5-0 in league play with their season-high fifth straight victory and moved two matches over the .500 mark overall (9-7) for the first time on the year.

Senior Gabriella Demchenko (Buffalo Grove, Ill./ Stevenson) and junior Eva Lopez (Zaragoza, Spain) turned in identical scorecards on the day as they both won their singles matches – Nos. 1 and 2 – by 6-1, 6-0 counts. That came after they teamed up for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles.
