SOMERS, Wis. – Running against teams from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA, the USF women's cross country team placed seventh at the Wisconsin-Parkside Godfrey Open.

The Saints totaled 194 points in the event, the best among NAIA programs. Marquette University (NCAA Division I) took the team title with 28 points, while Northern Michigan University (NCAA Division II) placed third and The University of Chicago (NCAA Division III) rounded out the top three.

For the second consecutive week, Taylor Conroy (Marengo, Ill./Marengo) was the top USF finisher, placing 32nd with a time of 19:15. Catherine Crosson (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) came in next for the Saints in 41st place (19:28) and Sabrina Baftiri (Morris, Ill./Morris) raced to a 55th-place finish with a time of 19:47.

Bre Rodriguez (Dwight, Ill./Dwight) and Celine Espinoza (Arlington, Wash./Lakewood) rounded out USF's top five in 58th and 59th respectively. Mallory Johnson (New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) and Morayma Barron (Joliet, Ill./Joliet Central) placed 97th and 98th for St. Francis.

The Saints run at Augustana's Brissman-Lundeen Invitational Saturday, September 22.
