JOLIET, Ill. - Wedgewood Golf Course did not play favorites with host University of St. Francis at its own Fall Classic on Tuesday as the Saints placed seventh out of ten teams.  USF's second team finished one spot back in the No. 8 position.

Neighboring rival Lewis University had all four of its scorers finish no higher than two strokes over par (72) to capture the team title with its round of 290.  Governors State University and Aurora University were both two strokes back at 292.

The Saints had no player shoot less than two-over-par leading to a 305 team score.  Sophomore Rafe Lawson (St. Cloud, Fla/Osceola) led the way with a 74.  Senior Jason Chobar (Plainfield, Ill./Minooka) and sophomore Nick McPherson (Morris, Ill./Morris) were one stroke behind at 75.

Freshman Clayton Cash (Morris, Ill./Coal City) led USF's second team with an identical 75.

Governors State's Matt Contey captured medalist honors with a 70.

The Saints return to action this weekend at the Bethel College (Ind.) Battle at Blackthorn on Friday and Saturday.
