University of St. Francis women's golf coach Tom O'Connor has signed Rosary High School's Elizabeth Healy to a letter of intent to attend the Joliet-based school.

A member of the varsity golf team each of the past three years, Healy advanced to the sectional round of the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state tournament this past fall. That accomplishment helped the Batavia native earn team most valuable player honors for the Royals, who went 13-6 this year.

"Elizabeth will be a nice addition to our team," said O'Connor. "She has a good personality and is a hard worker. She will help solidify our roster from top to bottom."

The most improved player on the team her sophomore year, Healy claimed the program's most dedicated award as a junior before earning the coach's award her senior year. She also served as a captain on this past year's team.

Healy plans on majoring in mass communication at St. Francis.
