DAVENPORT, Iowa - The University of St. Francis women's golf team completed its weekend swing through the state of Iowa Sunday with a strong second-place finish among 10 teams at the St. Ambrose Fighting Bee Women's Golf Classic completed at Emeis Golf Course. 

Saturday's opening round of the 36-hole SAU tournament was held at Glynns Creek Golf Course in Parkview. The Saints started their venture through Iowa on Friday with a third-place finish in the Iowa Wesleyan College Classic in Muscatine.

Sophomore Vicky McGowan (Lincoln-Way East H.S./Mokena, IL) carried the Saints to second place on Sunday with a 4-over par round of 76 that gave her a two-day total of 160 and a second-place standing in the individual results. The 76 for McGowan established a USF school record for the lowest women's golf 18-hole round in tournament play.

Freshman Ashleigh Offerman (Joliet Catholic Academy/Elwood, IL) completed an outstanding weekend for her with rounds of 81 and 82 for a 163 total and a sixth-place finish. Offerman led USF with an 81 in Friday's 18-hole tourney at Muscatine.

Freshman Kali Hale (Joliet Township H.S./Joliet, IL) was next in line for USF with scores of 83 and 93 for a 36-hole total of 176. Sophomore Rachael Anderson (Plainfield South H.S./Joliet, IL) finished at 195 (94-91), while freshmen Lauren Bone (Almont H.S./Almont, MI) and Lindsey Wilson (Rogers H.S./Rogers, AR) posted scores of 195 (91-104) and 205 (101-104), respectively.

USF returns to action Tuesday at the Elmhurst College Invitational which will be played at Oak Brook golf Club.
