ORLANDO, Fla. --- University of St. Francis' doubles teams of freshman Mark Zubov (St. Petersburg H.S./St. Petersburg, Russia) and senior Erick Dobrzynski (Moraine Valley C.C./Justice, IL) and seniors Jake Quigley (Joliet Catholic Academy/Joliet, IL) and Jakub Szymanski (Bethany College, KS/Poznan, Poland) each won a pair of matches and Zubov and Dobrzynski addedone singles win each, but it was not enough as the Saints fell 5-4 to Bethel University (TN) and 7-2 to Wesleyan University (CT) on Sunday.

USF (1-5) started off well in both matches going 2-1 in doubles play. Zubov added a 6-2, 6-3 win to open singles play at the No. 1 spot against Bethel with Dobrzynski collecting a 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 victory at No. 5.

Bethel (2-1) rallied with wins at Nos. 3, 4 and 6 singles to tie the contest at 4-4 before the Wildcats' Paolo Vecchi defeated Szymanski in a hard-fought 7-6 (7-5), 7-5 decision at No. 2 doubles to give Bethel the victory.

In the second match, Wesleyan (4-1) came back to win each of its six singles matches in straight sets to earn the 7-2 victory.

The Saints get right back on the court Monday facing Vincennes University (IN) and Alfred University (NY).
