MILWAUKEE, Wis. - It was a "Special K" kind of night -- as in Kristee and Kyrsten -- for University of St. Francis in the Saints' 3-1 victory over Cardinal Stritch University in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night.

Sophomore outside hitter Kristee Conrad (Stagg H.S./Hickory Hills, IL) led the Saints' offense with a .541 attacking percentage (13 kills, 0 errors, 24 attempts) and junior outside hitter Kyrsten Becker (Rolling Meadows H.S./Arlington Heights, IL) topped the defense with 17 digs and 21 service receptions to lead the Saints (10-7, 3-0) to their third straight road win in conference play.

The Saints battled from behind to win each of the first two games over the upset-minded Wolves (3-9, 0-3). CSU held a 19-11 lead in game one before the Saints rallied behind strong serving from Becker and roared back to take a 22-21 lead. USF then held on for a 25-23 win.

USF faced a 14-11 deficit in game two and again charged back to post a 25-16 victory. Conrad keyed the win in game two as she collected 5 of her 13 kills in that set on just 9 attempts.

Stritch did the rallying in game three and came back to post a 26-24 win and extend the match to a fourth game. USF finally put the Wolves away with a 25-19 win in that contest.

The Saints are home this coming weekend and play host to their own USF "Mr. Submarine" Invitational Friday and Saturday at the Recreation Center. The five-team field includes Bethel (IN), Concordia (MI), Culver-Stockton (MO) and Trinity Christian, in addition to the Saints.
