Bourbonnnais, Ill. --- NAIA No. 21-ranked Olivet Nazarene University remained unbeaten extending its winning streak to 10 matches with a 7-2 victory over University of St. Francis on Friday afternoon.
ONU swept through doubles to open up a 3-0 advantage.
The Saints (2-9) actually had a chance to earn at least one victory in doubles play, but leading 5-1 in the tiebreaker at No. 2 doubles, USF could not hold on in an eventual 9-8 (9-7) setback.
Olivet Nazarene also took the first four singles matches before the Saints could finally break the ice.
Senior Erick Dobrzynski (Moraine Valley Community College/Justice, IL) landed the first victory when he rallied for a 1-6, 6-4, 10-8 victory at No. 5 singles.
Sophomore Nikola Milenkovic (Anglo American School of Belgrade/Belgrade, Serbia) posted USF's other win with his 6-4, 4-6, 12-10 decision at No. 6 singles.
The Saints get right back on the court Saturday when they host Davenport University (MI) at the Challenge Fitness Tennis Courts. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m.
