MERRILLVILLE, Ind. --- University of St. Francis continued its late-season charge with two more victories on Saturday - 7-2 over Ashford University (IA) and 8-1 opposite Purdue University Calumet - giving the Saints four straight wins and five victories in their last six matches.

The wins boosted USF's overall record to 7-10 on the season.

Seniors Jakub Szymanski (Bethany College, KS/Poznan, Poland) and Jacob Quigley (Saint Xavier University/Joliet Catholic Academy/Joliet, IL) and freshman Mark Zubov (St. Petersburg H.S./St. Petersburg, Russia) all authored perfect 4-0 records on the day.

Zubov won a pair of decisions at No. 1 singles before teaming up at No. 2 doubles with senior Erick Dobrzynski (Moraine Valley Community College/Justice, IL) in the first match and sophomore Andres Stecher (Pestalozzi H.S./Buenos Aires, Argentina) in the second.

Quigley and Szymanski paired up for 8-4 and 8-2 wins at No. 1 doubles before separating to win their No. 3 and 2 singles matches, respectively.

Stecher was also perfect on the day (3-0) adding two wins at No. 4 singles to go along with his No. 2 doubles win with Zubov.

Dobrzynski's other victory came at No. 5 singles in the match against Ashford, while junior Eddie Semik (Marian Catholic H.S./Park Forest, IL) posted the other singles win in the same fifth spot in the second match.

Also in the match against Purdue Calumet, freshman Zach Mullady (Kankakee H.S./Kankakee, IL) and senior Matt Nosbisch (Metamora H.S./Metamora, IL) combined to win their first match as a twosome in the No. 3 slot, 8-0.

The Saints battle NCAA II Lewis University on Tuesday in Romeoville at 1 p.m.
