
JOLIET – Junior outside hitter Jazzmyne Robbins (La Salle-Peru H.S./Peru, IL) and senior opposite Sarah Ahline (Lemont H.S./Lemont, IL) posted 14 and 13 kills, respectively, to lead University of St. Francis to a three-set sweep of Judson University Tuesday night in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference volleyball match at the Sullivan Center.
The Saints (14-9, 5-2) posted a .364 attacking percentage compared to just .083 for Judson (6-12, 2-4). Ahline had an extremely accurate night, hitting at a .722 percentage with 13 kills and no errors in just 18 attempts. Robbins posted a .500 attacking percentage, with 14 kills and only three errors in 22 total attempts.
The duo of Robbins and Ahline accounted for 27 of USF's total of 39 kills. Junior setter Ashley Richards (Wilmington H.S./Wilmington, IL) ran the offense with 33 assists and led the team with three service aces.
Junior libero Dana Wettergren (Oak Forest H.S./Oak Forest, IL) topped the team defensively with 11 digs and 11 serve receptions. Richards also had a good night at the net, leading USF with four total blocks which included a pair of solos. Sophomore middle blocker Kate McIlvanie (Lena-Winslow H.S./Eleroy, IL) added three blocks and Ahline and freshman middle Caleigh Hill (Minooka H.S./Shorewood, IL) each had two.
The Saints play at home again on Wednesday night as they entertain CCAC foe Purdue University Calumet at 7 p.m.
