Jazzmyne Robbins is USF's first volleyball CCAC Player of the Week in 2009.
JOLIET, Ill. - University of St. Francis freshman outside hitter Jazzmyne Robbins (La Salle-Peru H.S./Peru, IL) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 4.
The Saints went 4-1 last week and Robbins led the offense with a 4.1 kills per game average over five matches.
The Saints first earned a 3-1 win over conference opponent Trinity International. Robbins had her highest kill total of the week with 19 kills against the Trojans.
USF would go on to lose a highly competitive match against No. 20 ranked Lindenwood (3-1) despite Robbins' 16 kills.
A 3-0 win against Lindsey Wilson saw the 6-1 hitter tally 12 kills and a 3-1 win over William Jewell was helped by Robbins' 17 kills and nine digs.
She finished up the week with 14 kills in a 3-1 win over Hannibal LaGrange. For the week, Robbins posted a .376 hitting percentage.
