JOLIET, Ill. --- University of St. Francis head men's tennis coach Jim Trudeau considers his newest addition, Diego Mogrovejo, a case of perfect timing. Mogrovejo, from Cuenca, Azvay, Ecuador, signed a letter of intent to attend St. Francis and play for the Fighting Saints over the recently-completed winter break.
"Diego is a very welcome and timely addition to our team," said Trudeau. "He is solid in both singles and doubles and is very passionate about the game. He's learning fast about being on a college team and playing at our level."
Mogrovejo plans on majoring in Biology at the Joliet, Ill.-based school.
"Diego has a happy personality and is fitting in well with the guys," added Trudeau. "I am really glad that he will be with us this season and for three more years to come."
St. Francis opens the spring portion of its schedule on Feb. 11 when it hosts St. Ambrose University (Iowa) at the Challenge Fitness Tennis Courts. The match is slated for a 2:30 p.m. start.
