
JOLIET, Ill. --- Rated as one of Minooka High School's top defensive players each of the past three years, Alyssa Hemza (Channahon, IL) will take her craft to University of St. Francis this coming fall after it was announced that Hemza has signed a letter of intent to attend St. Francis and play soccer for the Fighting Saints.

JOLIET, Ill. --- University of St. Francis head women's soccer coach John Nikchevich has added Lemont High School product Hannah Yackley (Lemont, IL) to the USF fold announcing that she has signed a letter of intent to attend the Joliet-based school and play for the Fighting Saints this coming fall.

JOLIET, Ill. --- Herscher High School's Brianna Ferrias (Kankakee, IL) will be looking to three-peat on the all-Interstate Eight Conference girls soccer team when the Tigers kick off their 2012 season next month. What she won't be looking for is a school to play for a year from now after announcing that she has signed a letter of intent to attend University of St. Francis and play for the Fighting Saints.

JOLIET, Ill. --- As if trying to stop second team all-league forward Brooke Polus (Lake Central H.S./Crown Point, IN) was not difficult enough for opposing Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer teams, they will get a double dose of the Polus connection after it was announced on Saturday that newcomer Kara Polus (Lake Central H.S./Crown Point, IN) will join her sister in the University of St. Francis program after signing a letter of intent to attend the Joliet-based school.

CHICAGO, Ill. --- University of St. Francis junior midfielder/goalkeeper Amber Zukowski (Andrew H.S./Tinley Park, IL) earned repeat honors on the all-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Team, while teammate Brooke Polus (Lake Central H.S./Crown Point, IN) joined her for the first time when the league office announced its postseason awards late Saturday night.

DEERFIELD, Ill. – For the second year in a row University of St. Francis saw its women's soccer season come to an end and its postseason hopes dashed with a loss to Trinity International University. The Trojans defeated the Saints, 2-0, at Schartner Field Saturday afternoon on the TIU campus.

JOLIET – Lightning forced postponement of Tuesday night's Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer match featuring No. 21 Robert Morris University and University of St. Francis at ATI Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium. The game is now tentatively scheduled to be played on Wednesday at 5 p.m., prior to the regularly scheduled men's game between the two schools.
