BATESVILLE, Ark. --- University of St. Francis sophomore center fielder David Kuhne's two-run double rallied the Saints to a split of their season-opening doubleheader with Lyon College (Ark.) and provided head coach Brian Michalak with his first victory at the helm of the St. Francis program after replacing legendary head coach and college baseball's all-time winningest coach Gordie Gillespie Sunday afternoon.

JOLIET, Ill. - Brian Michalak, a 1983 University of St. Francis baseball alumnus and the program's top assistant coach for the past four seasons, has been named to succeed the retired Gordie Gillespie as the head coach of the Fighting Saints.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of St. Francis senior catcher Brent Walters (Lisle H.S./Lisle, IL) has been named to the NAIA Baseball All-America Second Team, as selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Selection Committee.
