CHICAGO --- A limited University of St. Francis contingent made the trek up to the University of Chicago Margaret Bradley Invitational on Saturday with a pair of Saints coming away putting points on the board.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. --- University of St. Francis senior Adam Yost (Sparta H.S./Sparta, MI) got to enjoy his school record in the mile run for all of three hours on Friday after junior Sean Smith (Winnebago H.S./Winnebago, IL) did one better … or more like 0.61 seconds better at the North Central College Cardinal Classic later on Friday.

ALLENDALE, Mich. --- University of St. Francis' three-and-a-half-hour trip to the Grand Valley State University Tune-Up proved to be well worth it as the Saints came home with five new school records, a pair of first-places finishes and both one second and third-place showing on Friday night.

NAPERVILLE- With the USF Women's track team getting a well-deserved day off, it was the men who were in attendance at the Chicagoland Championships held Saturday at North Central College. The women posted excellent performances and put the pressure on the men's to equal their efforts, and they did not fail in doing so. Behind two new school records and rewriting the top performance list yet again, the Saints were able to finish 6thin the field of 19 total teams.

BLOOMINGTON- Saturday the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints traveled to Bloomington to compete at the Illinois Wesleyan University Keck Invitational.  Generally a smaller meet, the Saints had an opportunity to really finish high in many events, and they did not disappoint. Not only Were the Saints able to finish well, but many athletes were able to qualify for the NAIA Indoor National meet and rewrite the USF Record book in the process.

KENOSHA, WI-  Aaron Rogers and The Packers may not be competing in Wisconsin still, but the University of St. Francis track teams were able to this past Friday at Carthage college for the Tadd Metzger Invitational. Out of the eight total teams, the Saints were able to amass enough points from performances to finish 4th overall.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI- Classes were cancelled at the University of St Francis on Friday, but the USF Track teams boarded buses and braved the storm for a trip to Grand Rapids, MI. The lure of great competition and a chance to run fast times early in the season compelled the squads to travel to Grand Valley State University for the Mike Lints Invitational.

JOLIET, Ill. --- Plainfield North High School two-year varsity letterwinner Stephen Wilder (Plainfield, Ill.) has signed a letter of intent to attend University of St. Francis and run both cross country and track for the Fighting Saints and head coach Dr. Drew Ludtke, it was announced on Saturday.
