CHICAGO - Saint Xavier University used a 19-2 run in the final 10 minutes of the first half to take a 10-point halftime lead and then pulled away from University of St. Francis in the second half and defeated the Saints, 80-50, in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball game Saturday afternoon at the Shannon Center.

JOLIET, Ill. - University of St. Francis played the tempo it wanted and held defending Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference champion Robert Morris to nearly 15 points below its scoring average but the Saints' upset bid fell short as the Eagles snapped USF's brief winning streak at two games with a 67-58 victory in the Recreation Center Wednesday night.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -Trailing by eight points with a little over seven minutes remaining in the game, University of St. Francis reeled off a game-ending 22-8 run to storm back and even its Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference record at 2-2 with a 75-69 road win over Indiana University South Bend Saturday afternoon.

JOLIET - After 34 years and better than 500 coaching victories and over three decades worth of double duty as an administrator, University of St. Francis men's basketball coach Pat Sullivan has announced his retirement from the University effective at the end of the current 2009-10 season.

GEORGETOWN, Ky. --- Life has not been good on the road this season for University of St. Francis. Combine that with playing the No. 18-ranked team in NAIA I in Georgetown College (Ky.) and the result was not a good one for USF Thursday afternoon as the Saints dropped an 82-56 decision to the Tigers.

POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. --- Try as it might, University of St. Francis could not derail Bellevue University (Neb.) from claiming its ninth straight victory Tuesday night as the Bruins earned a 72-62 decision in second-round action of the College of the Ozarks (Mo.) McDonald's Cam Jam Tournament.
