Joliet, IL- The University of St. Francis will play host to the 14th Annual Senior Spotlight Track and Field Meet. The Senior Spotlight meet, also known as the Senior "All-Star" meet, brings together the top high school senior track athletes from the states of Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin to compete head to head. This two day event is sure to bring about great competition and camaraderie to the high school athletes in a college atmosphere for the first time.
Details for the meet are listed below.

VANCOUVER, WA- As the sole representative of the University of St. Francis women's cross country program, one would assume sophomore stand out Hilary Halford (Antioch/Carmel HS) would feel the pressure. Halford was able to remain calm and collected leading up to her race and perform in a way that made all of her teammates back in Joliet proud. In fact, Halford was able to maneuver through the 5,000m course in such a way that she was able to record the best National meet performance in school history. Finishing as the 78th best runner in the NAIA is no small accomplishment, and her time of 19:15, though not a personal best, was excellent on the difficult course at Fort Vancouver. Just a sophomore, the Saints expect great things from Halford in her remaining two years of eligibility, including the potential to be the first female All-American. For now, however, expect to see Halford's name mentioned near incredible times as she transitions to the oval and track season.

BOURBONNAIS- Entering the CCAC conference championships the USF women were ranked sixth in the conference, but had something to prove. With their third-place finish, they accomplished that goal. Stand out sophomore Hillary Halford (Antioch/Carmel HS) led the Saints yet again. With a time of 18:41, Halford was able to earn All-Conference honors finishing 5th overall. In addition, her individual finish was enough to earn her trip to the national championships in Vancouver, Washington, her second trip to the competition.
GRAND RAPIDS, MI- Sophomore Hilary Halford (Antioch, IL/Carmel HS) continued to show her stand out talent at the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge in Grand Rapids, MI. Facing some of the NAIA's best teams, including the #1 and #5 ranked women's squads, Halford broke into the top ten as the 9thoverall individual with a time of 18:19.

LISLE- At the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational, sophomore Hilary Halford (Antioch, IL/Carmel HS) handled the course like a seasoned veteran. The temperatures, tight turns and new 6,000 meter distance did not deter Halford from securing a near 10 second victory Friday. Running alone most of the race, Halford ran an excellent time of 23:26 to finish first of the 115 runners competing.

CHICAGO- The women of the St. Francis' cross country team put forth a great effort to place 18thof 45 total teams at the Sean Earl Lake Front Invitational. Overcoming the hills and wind made for a very difficult 5k race, but excellent resolve was displayed and solid performances were seen from each member of the team.

KANSAS CITY- -The Lady Saints eagerly awaited the most recent NAIA National Rankings, and they were not disappointed. For the first time in the program's history, the USF Women were among the top 25 teams listed, finishing 25th overall after all votes were counted.

With close to 300 runners at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championship Meet in Normal, Ill., the University of St. Francis' Hilary Halford (Antioch, Ill.) ran with the best in the state of Illinois and is the CCAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. St. Francis finished sixth in the college division and 10th overall.
Bloomington, IL- Mixed amongst the best colleges and universities in Illinois, the ladies of St. Francis rose to the top. 28 teams competed in the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships held at Illinois State University on a perfect fall day. Conditions were prime for fast racing, and the Lady Saints did not disappoint.

KANSAS CITY -- University of St. Francis found itself among the nation's top-rated cross country teams on both sides of the gender barrier on Wednesday afternoon.
