JOLIET, Ill. --- Chris Robinson, a former three-sport athlete at Reed-Custer High School, has signed a letter of intent to attend University of St. Francis this coming fall and play baseball for the Fighting Saints and first-year head coach Brian Michalak.

JOLIET, Ill. --- Two-time Joliet Herald-News all-area honorable mention choice Kyle Cunningham (Plainfield, IL) has announced that he has signed a letter of intent to attend University of St. Francis this coming fall and play baseball for the Fighting Saints and newly-appointed head coach Brian Michalak.

JOLIET, Ill. - Brian Michalak, a 1983 University of St. Francis baseball alumnus and the program's top assistant coach for the past four seasons, has been named to succeed the retired Gordie Gillespie as the head coach of the Fighting Saints.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of St. Francis senior catcher Brent Walters (Lisle H.S./Lisle, IL) has been named to the NAIA Baseball All-America Second Team, as selected by the NAIA Baseball Coaches Association All-America Selection Committee.

University of St. Francis seniors David Hexdall (Morris H.S./Morris, IL) and Brent Walters (Lisle H.S./Lisle, IL) topped the list of seven Saints that were recently recognized with postseason honors in a vote of baseball coaches in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

JOLIET, Ill. - Biola University's Alex Brueske fired a complete game and scattered nine hits and the No. 2-seeded Eagles exploded for eight runs over the fifth and sixth innings and rolled to a 12-1 victory over third-seeded University of St. Francis in a semifinal game of the Joliet Bracket at the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round at Silver Cross Field.

JOLIET, Ill. - University of St. Francis senior pitcher Mark Ahern (Homewood-Flossmoor H.S./Homewood, IL) did not allow a run until there were two outs in the ninth inning and junior closer Corey Schultz (Kankakee H.S./Kankakee, IL) struck out the final batter as the Saints fought off elimination for the second time on Friday with a 3-1 victory over Jamestown College in the NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Round at Silver Cross Field.
