
Seven University of St. Francis football players were recently named NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2009 season. In addition, senior wide receiver Jason Fiske (Belvidere H.S./Loves Park, IL) was recognized as an ESPN/CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree.

A total of 13 University of St. Francis football players were recently selected to the All-Mid-States Football Association/ Midwest League honor team after a vote by league coaches.

Senior quarterback John Goolsby (Morris H.S./Morris, IL) has been named the Mid-States Football Association/Midwest League Offensive Player of the Week sophomore defensive back Wayne Johnson (York H.S./McConnells, SC) was named the league's Defensive Player of the Week after the pair led USF to a convincing 62-20 win over Olivet Nazarene Saturday night in New Lenox.

NEW LENOX, Ill. - After battling through seven weeks of mostly frustrating football, University of St. Francis finally found a way to have a little fun on Saturday night. The Saints (2-6, 1-3) tied a school record with 62 points as they ran away to a 62-20 Mid-States Football Association crossover victory over rival Olivet Nazarene University (2-6).

JOLIET, Ill. - The University of St. Francis vs. Olivet Nazarene University football game scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 24, has been moved from Joliet Memorial Stadium to Lincoln-Way West High School in New Lenox. Kickoff will remain as scheduled for 6 p.m.
