
Joliet, IL- The University of St. Francis will play host to the 14th Annual Senior Spotlight Track and Field Meet. The Senior Spotlight meet, also known as the Senior "All-Star" meet, brings together the top high school senior track athletes from the states of Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin to compete head to head. This two day event is sure to bring about great competition and camaraderie to the high school athletes in a college atmosphere for the first time.

VANCOUVER, WA- Treking across the country to compete against the best in the NAIA, the CCAC Champion Saints performed when it mattered most. With a team total of 327 points, the USF men finished in 13th place overall, the best finish in the program's history to date.

BOURBONNAIS- The CCAC conference meet was held at Olivet Nazarene University for the second year in a row, and, for the second year the row, the USF man walked away with the championship. On a cold and windy day, the Saints exuded patience and determination in their quest for the title.
GRAND RAPIDS, MI- In a stacked field featuring some of the top NAIA schools in the nation, the University of St. Francis men proved they belong near the top. On a cool fall morning, the Saints blazed the course to finish 3rdamong the 30 teams competing.

CHICAGO- #16 University of St. Francis took the Benedictine University Invitational as they continue to be a NAIA Top 25 program. St. Francis scored 29 points and finished ahead of NCAA Division II Lewis University (33) and NCAA Division III powerhouse North Central College (93). Phil Rizzo (Evergreen Park, Ill.) has earned the CCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for his strong showing at Benedictine.

LISLE- The USF men once again faced melting temperatures, but were cool under the pressure. For the second consecutive year, the USF men return from the Benedictine University Eagle Invitational as champions. Out of eleven teams competing over the 8,000 meter course, none could prevail over the Saints who tallied a total of just 29 points.

Competing against NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA competitors at the Loyola University Sean Earl Lakefront Invitational, Mike Blaszczyk (Novi, MI/Novi HS) helped the University of St. Francis to a seventh place finish out of 48 teams and has earned the CCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. NAIA's #14 ranked St. Francis scored 204 points and was just 22 points from finishing ahead of NCAA Division I Loyola University.

CHICAGO- Sophomore Mike Blaszczyk (Novi, MI/Novi HS) once again led the Saint's charge, this time at the Sean Earl Lake Front Invitational hosted by Loyola University. 48 teams competed on the challenging hilly course through the winds coming of Lake Michigan, but the USF men worked their way to a 7thplace finish. Blaszczyk took charge for the Saints from the start, pushing the pace and finishing 33rdoverall with a time of 25:51. Fellow sophomore and last season's CCAC Freshman of the year Jake Ferris (Joliet, IL/Plainfield South HS) is starting to find his stride in 2011 and finished just behind his teammate for a 35thplace finish and a time of 25:55. Just as Ferris was four seconds behind Blaszczyk, juniorPhil Rizzo (Evergreen Park, IL/Evergreen Park HS) was just four seconds behind Ferris. Finishing at 25:59, Rizzo's effort was enough to finish in 39thplace.

KANSAS CITY, MO- As the University of St. Francis Men's Cross Country Team continued to prepare for their next competition, they welcomed the latest NAIA National Ratings. Despite a week off from racing, the Saints moved up in the rankings three spots, from 17th to 14th. The USF results from the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships were impressive enough to bump the team up as other teams competed and fell short of the mark set.

KANSAS CITY-- After racing at the Illinois Intercollegiate Championships over the weekend, the University of St. Francis men proved they are better than their previous ranking. Ranked 24th in the previous polls, the Saints' ran a strong team race, to earn enough respect to move up to 17th overall.
