
MARION, Ind. --- University of St. Francis qualified two of its three individuals for the finals in two separate events at the 2010 NAIA National Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships over the weekend on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. --- Three first-year Saints and another underclassman highlighted University of St. Francis' showing at the 2010 University of Illinois Twilight Invitational on Friday.

HILLSDALE, Mich. --- Junior Ian McDowell's nationals-qualifying performance at the Hillsdale College (MI) Gina Relays, not to mention a pair of top 10 finishes by two other Saints, highlighted University of St. Francis' showing at the three-day meet over the weekend.

PALOS HEIGHTS, Ill. - University of St. Francis captured four first-places and narrowly missed a team title in its outdoor season-opening effort at the Trinity Christian College Troll Relays.
NAPERVILLE, Ill. --- Junior Adam Yost (Sparta H.S./Sparta, MI) and freshman Sean Smith (Winnebago H.S./Winnebago, IL) served as University of St. Francis' lone two participants in the North Central College Cardinal Classic on Saturday with both competing in the mile run.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. --- Sophomore Wayland Froelich (Amboy H.S./Amboy, IL) and junior Ian McDowell (Lansing Community College/Lansing, MI) both recorded a pair of top six finishes to lead University of St. Francis at the Central Michigan University Jack Skoog Open on Friday night.

MARION, Ind. --- University of St. Francis freshman Sean Smith (Winnebago H.S./Winnebago, IL) cut nearly one second off his NAIA indoor nationals qualifying time in capturing the mile run, while two other Saints also claimed first-place finishes and another pair placed fourth at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational on Saturday.

ALLENDALE, Mich. --- Freshman distance runner Sean Smith (Winnebago H.S./Winnebago, IL) headlined a trio of University of St. Francis top 10 performers at the Grand Valley State University (MI)/Bob Eubanks Open Friday night and in the process qualified for the NAIA Indoor National Championships.

ROMEOVILLE --- Sophomore Wayland Froelich (Amboy H.S./Amboy, IL) notched a first-place finish in the long jump Saturday afternoon to lead University of St. Francis in its 2010 indoor track season opener at the Lewis University Dick Pond Invitational.
University of St. Francis junior Michael McElyea (Sangamon Valley H.S./Illiopolis, IL) has been named a Daktronics NAIA Men's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete, it was announced by the NAIA national office.
